2nd Jan 1977 Miscellaneous Coaching Stock of British Railways Part 2.
I'm starting another collection, which is a continuation of Misc.Coaching Stock, because there are so many. I didn't realise until now just how many coaches I had photographed as I keep finding more and more as I go though my files. Again most will be dated & located where known/remembered but they will of course be loaded randomly by Fotopic as usual.
1st Mar 1977Miscellaneous Coaching Stock of British Railways etc.Part One.
This collection will consist of mainly hauled stock which I have had some association with either in preservation or restoration at various sites. Vehicles which I have owned or had shares in will also feature and these will be suitably indicated in the sub-title, some of which should be viewed in the "Watercress Belle" collection. Fotopic has loaded some of the photos in a different order to that which I submitted them, Again, I'm sorry about that.
26th Dec 1977Coaching Stock of "The Watercress Belle"
This Collection should be viewed in association with the Miscellaneous Coaching Stock Collection.
As there are a number of photos at various dates pertaining to the 'Belle' I have decided that a separate page would be a good idea. The photos are dated but have loaded in random order.
I have been associated with this train in many ways since the first vehicles arrived on the Mid-Hants in the early 80's, being a shareholder in some of the vehicles and an owner of the 3 FO's(First Open's) from as early as 1983 but between 1988 & 1999, selling my interest in these 3 vehicles. However, I remain a shareholder in, BG 84101,RB1668 & RBr 1973 and am still actively involved with the maintenance of these vehicles, when time permits. This train in various forms has been in continuous service as the prestige Wine & Dine service on the Mid-Hants since the 17th April 1982 and also has the distinction of having run on the South Western Main Line twice!
The first involved 2 round trips from Alresford to Woking for Woking 150 celebrations on May 29th 1988 & the second was 2 round trips on the 10th September 1988 from Alresford to Waterloo for the naming ceremony of ED Class 73-005.
10th Sep 1988The Watercress Belle goes to Waterloo.
On the 10th Sept 1988, the 2nd passenger train from the Mid-Hants Railway to run on the Main Line, was to Waterloo. the occasion was the naming ceremony of ED Class 73-005, Mid-Hants, Watercress Line.
1st Jan 1994Railway Stations
Quite a number of these Stations have altered over the intervening years, some have even been demolished.
Some have been restored and some have been modernised.
There are many different designs, well illustrated in this collection. As with other collections, the images have been mixed up by Fotopic and are not in the order I hoped they would be when I uploaded them. Most if not all have a date attached when the photo was taken.

21st Jan 2009Steam Locomotives
Only 20 illustrations under this title so far, it is hoped to add more soon. All represent preserved steam and show locomotives which are now able to run on the "Main Line" something which the preservationists never thought would be possible after 1967! One or two photos of 'Tornado' a new build of a Peppercorn A1 Pacific Locomotive are also included.
21st Jan 2009Front Entrance Variants of the Routemaster Bus

23rd Jan 2009Country Scenes,(Towns,Villages,Counties)
It is not all buses and railways that interest me! Whilst I originally loaded these photos in the order I wished to display them, Fotopic has loaded them randomly. Hopefully, with most photos individually titled and/or dated the viewer will be able to see some of the connections....enjoy!
23rd Jan 2009My 'Bus. RMC 1476
This is an assorted collection of photos of my 'bus. A Routemaster Coach, known as an RMC. The photos are in no particular order but where possible are dated & located.
My ownership of the vehicle started in 1993, when with my then co-owner the 'bus was purchased from London Coaches at Wandsworth Garage. The vehicle was built & entered service in 1962 with Green Line and was originally in Dark Green. However, with the changes in 1969 the 'bus passed to London Country. By 1979 the 'bus had been bought back by London Transport and became a Driver training vehicle being painted Red.
