 This unusual house photographed in July 1963 at Thorpeness, was once a water tower. The lower part below the red tiled part was always disguised as a house. It was only later that the top section(housing the tank) was converted to further accommodation. One wonders what it must be like on a stormy night!

 This is Lavant Station some time in 1988. It is off the A286 and now rather difficult to find. At the time of my photograph there had obviously been a mystery fire and the brigade were in attendance. The old station was later turned into residential use and the surrounding area built on. The Station remains in residential use to this day some 20 years after this photo.
